Wednesday 12 April (8pm to 11pm) LE MPENDULO Over the years, Le Mpendulo has taken part in a number of events and festivals around the country. She was invited to represent South Africa at the annual Afro Marimba Jazz festival in Oslo Norway. She has also performed live along side Simphiwe Dana, Micasa, Black Motion and Nathi. Wednesday 19 April (8pm to 11pm) MIKE ROSSI TRIO Mike Rossi is Professor in Jazz and Woodwinds at the South African College of Music, University of Cape Town, South Africa. He regularly performs at jazz clubs, jazz festivals and conducts workshops and master-classes in Africa, Europe and the United States. he will be joined on stage by Roberto zechini. Roberto is a major jazz figure in Italy and Europe. He will be here courtesy of the Italian Institute for Culture (ICC). Thursday 20 April (8pm to 11pm) THE SE7EN0FN9NE QUARTET Renowned Cape Town drummer, Clement Benny will lead the SE7EN0FN9NE PROJECT under the Banner of the RAINBOW ACADEMY. His Quartet includes Mark FRANSMAN- Saxophone, Steven SOKUYEKA - Trombone and Mongolian based Professor Martin ZENKER – Contrabass. The Artists will perform various of their Own Compositions. Friday 28 April (8pm to 11pm) #ConcertsSA MONIQUE HELLENBERG TRIO SAMRO Overseas Scholarship Award-Winning Vocalist, Jazz Vocals Lecturer (UCT), and Private Singing Coach, Monique Hellenberg, has fronted several notable ensembles. Her most recent endeavours include coaching winner of "The Voice SA " (Richard Stirton); China Tour with Andrew Young; Pop & Latino Music Performances with Alfredo Garcia Navas & Sebastian Simsa in Vienna & at the Linz Festival in Austria; and her own Music Concert in Philadelphia, U.S.A. Monique Hellenberg- vocals and band.

We celebrate today with a tribute to the most famous and influential jazz musician ever : Louis Armstrong.
